Dr. Toussaint is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle surgery. He performs the entire spectrum of nonoperative and operative foot and ankle procedures — from traumatic injuries (fractures) to deformity correction (bunions and hammertoes) to degenerative joint procedures (total ankle replacements).
Dr. Toussaint chose his specialty because foot and ankle problems are often misunderstood, misdiagnosed and undertreated. Many orthopedic surgeons shy away from this specialty, leaving many patients without providers to tackle these difficult problems. Dr. Toussaint wanted to fill a need for a well-trained orthopedic foot and ankle specialist.
What sets Dr. Toussaint apart is that he welcomes the complexity and diversity of foot and ankle problems, and he looks forward to tackling the most complex cases. Whenever possible, Dr. Toussaint tries nonsurgical approaches before considering surgery.
Outside of orthopedics, Dr. Toussaint enjoys running marathons, competing in triathlons as well as spending time with his wife and family.
