Dr. Mark Ellen is a locum physician at The Orthopaedic Institute, Lake City. His specializations include Sports Medicine and Upper Extremity Injuries with an emphasis on athletic injuries. He takes pride in listening to his patients and adapting their treatment plans based on their needs.
Shoulder and knee injections along with home exercise programs are among the most common treatments performed by Dr. Ellen, all of which help treat musculoskeletal injuries and trauma.
Dr. Ellen became interested in sports medicine while he was a young college athlete. Sustaining many injuries himself, he was eager to help with the prevention and care of athletic injuries for others.
Before coming to The Orthopaedic Institute, Dr. Ellen worked as the team physician at the University of Pennsylvania and Emory University. He was also named one of Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Doctors for Sports Medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Ellen enjoys playing sports with a recent interest in golf.
