The Orthopaedic Institute supports Taste of Gainesville: Dining Through the Decades on Sunday, June 2nd

The Orthopaedic Institute is proud to support the 4th Annual Taste of Gainesville: Dining Through the Decades on Sunday, June 2nd, at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center. The mission of taste ofGainesville to raise money and awareness for select nonprofit organizations in the Heart of Florida with a special emphasis on nonprofits that focus on children in need. This year, the Taste of Gainesville will be giving back to threeGainesville children’s charities:ChildAdvocacyCenter, Children’s Home Society of Florida andTyler’s Hope for a Dystonia Cure. Taste ofGainesville: Dining Through the Decades will feature signature dishes from North Central Florida’s best restaurants.

ChildAdvocacyCenterfocuses on abused and neglected children by providing counseling session, preparing families for any Court situations that may arise and coordinating long term care to ensure the children get the resources they need.

Children’s Home Society of Florida provides services to families and children in order to help break the tragic cycle of child abuse and neglect. Children’s Home Society of Florida offers social services to protect children at risk of abuse, neglect or abandonment, to strength and stabilize families.

Tyler’s Hope for a Dystonia Cure is committed to funding neurology research to prevent and cure DYT1 Dystonia. Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions, which force certain parts of the body into abnormal movements.
