The Orthopaedic Institute (TOI) is a proud sponsor of the Marion County YMCA’s 16th Annual Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 24. The event, located at 3200 S.E. 17th St. Ocala, Fla., had over 1,400 runners in 2010 and anticipates a high turnout this year.
 
The 5k race welcomes all runners, walkers, joggers and pets to participate. Pre-race registration is only $15 on Active.com. Registration will be $20 on race day. The race will begin at 7:30 a.m.
 
Event proceeds will benefit the Marion County YMCA’s Youth Scholarship Fund, which assists children whose families cannot afford fees for swimming lesions, camps and organized sports. Together all sponsors, including The Orthopaedic Institute, cover the cost of race materials to ensure that 100 percent of the registration money goes directly to the scholarship fund.
