TOI employees go above and beyond

by admin May 27, 2011

The Orthopaedic Institute’s physicians and staff donated $1,935 for Dr. Jaffe and Dr. Berk’s Climb for Cancer. Eighty nine employees donated a minimum of $5, many donating more, to support the physicians as they embark on the climb of a lifetime to raise funds to positively impact the lives of local cancer patients and their families. At all four of TOI’s locations, employees sport denim to work today to show their encouragement.

My current experience is with the therapists in Alachua.  This is the 2nd time I am seeing them - but for different issues.  The staff at this location of course donated to this cause.  But they contribute every day by the work that they do, the encouragement and compassion they provide.  You can tell that the genuinely care about the needs and well-being of their patients.

TOI should indeed be proud of this "branch" of their facilities.

It's nice to see that you really do read our comments.  I also have to commend the staff of Dr. Stevenson and Dr. Maxey (and of course the physicians).  Recently Dr. Maxey went out of her way to assist my husband.  Her kindness to us both was much appreciated, especially since we were quite concerned.  I believe her suggestions will go a long way to helping alleviate my husband's difficulty.

Dr. Stevenson is my "back guru" and I would never consider seeing anyone else.  I have recommended him to several others who are having difficulties similar to mine.  I have been his patient since 2007, and I have to say (no disrespect) that you need to take a new pic of him for your wall - since losing that facial hair - he looks 10years younger!

I also have to say that I am still under his care and will be seeing him soon.  Missy in his office deserves a big "atta girl" for all she does to assist his patients.  While I have dealt with Missy on most occasions, the others on his staff are equally as professional, friendly and courteous.

TOI actually does care about the health of their patients - Thank you so very much.
