TOI is getting ready for another ACEL Champions for Charity kickball tournament
Each year, hundreds of
community professionals gather teams to kick for a charity of their choice. The Alachua County Emerging Leaders (ACEL) donates a total of $10,000 to the top winning teams.
TOI’s charity of choice is the Alachua County Organization for Rural Needs, Inc. (ACORN), a local clinic that provides low-cost medical and dental care to low-income families and qualifying residents living in rural North Central Florida. TOI has participated since 2008, and won donations for ACORN in 2009 and 2010, placing as one of the top teams both years.
TOI employees are gearing up for another successful year. The first practice was on Sunday, and the team is looking excited and hopeful for another win to benefit ACORN.
TOI’s team name is the TOI Renegades. The Renegades will be competing against 26 teams, all playing for deserving causes, on Saturday, February 12 at 10 a.m. at Diamond Sports Park.
